Our Key Principles

Cloudscape At Sunrise

- 1 -
Catechetical Subsidiarity

Respecting the primacy of the family and the need to support, not supplant, local sources of formation, with a spirit of generosity so that the very best resources can be provided for all, including the poorest institutions and individuals.

- 2 -
Spiritual
Primacy

Ensuring that formation for ministry emphasizes personal spiritual growth and witness of life and does not give the impression that human skill and knowledge attainment alone can sufficiently prepare a person to pass on the faith.

- 3-
Faithful Creativity

Seeking new ways forward in ministry in a collaborative not competitive manner, obedient to the graced channels of the Church’s hierarchy, and to the guidance of the Spirit’s voice in the Magisterium and ministry of Peter. Working for the Church and with the Church.

- 4 -
Sacrificial Accompaniment

Fostering and deepening the vocation to others in situ, knowing that the faith is most effectively passed on through pathways of familial trust, personal witness, vulnerable friendship, genuine sharing and reciprocal sacrifice, within the strength of a community.

- 5 -
Under
Mercy

Depending at all times upon the grace that can elevate our nature for the work of ministry, and therefore fostering sacramental encounters with the Father, through the Son, in the Spirit in order to find authentic peace of soul, joy in trusting, and familial belonging.

Who we are

We provide education in the Catholic faith for children and parents local to the Steubenville area, and formation in ministry for missionaries from areas suffering from persecution of their faith.

As a team of educators, we define our family somewhat broadly . . .

We are a family - both by blood and by bonds of faith.

We have the privilege to share our faith by helping families and missionaries to flourish in their callings.

We are also privileged to share the ways in which history and the natural world give a myriad of windows into God's plan, His steadfast love, and His careful fathering of souls.

And then there's a host of species other than homo sapiens that we take joy in sharing with anyone who wishes to discover a few amazing companions on our shared planet.  They are a diverse bunch of over 100 species.  You're welcome to take a peek:
